History:

  Morries Minnetonka Ford Lincoln Mercury was founded in 1999 and is part of Morries Automotive Group, which was founded by Morrie Wagener. Morrie started his career in 1957 as a technician specializing in imported vehicles. Morrie became service manager then owner of the same import shop and was awarded his first new-car franchise Citroen in 1963. In 1966, Morrie was awarded the Saab franchise that the automotive group still has today. The original Morries was built on Sunset Hill in Minnetonka in 1969. This site is still the home of Morries Subaru. The Morries Group has grown from its humble beginnings to a group of 15 dealerships representing 14 unique brands and employs more than 700 people.

Vision:

  Morrie built his business on hard work and the highest level of dedication to customer service. More than 50 years later, Morrie and his automotive group remain true to his founding principles. At Morries, the mantra is "Service is Key" and every aspect of the dealership is designed with complete customer satisfaction in mind. When customers arrive, they will be greeted warmly and will instantly feel at home in the dealership's newly remodeled facility. Customers can enjoy the open showroom, waiting room with flat-screen television, fireplace, free wi-fi, fresh popcorn and complimentary Caribou Coffee.

Awards:

  Morrie Wagener and his dealerships over the years have earned numerous awards for sales and service and customer satisfaction. These include: Subaru Cicle of Excellence, Ford Blue Oval and Mazda President's Club, to name a few. Morrie also has dedicated many years of service to the National and Regional Dealer Councils for Subaru and Saab. Morrie also has been asked to serve on the Saab Business Team.

Community Involvement: 

  Currently, Morrie serves on the board of Directors of AIADA (American International Automobile Dealership Association), and the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of the Dunwoody College of Technology. Though Dunwoody, Morrie supports the automotive industry with an annual Morries Scholarship Program. Additionally, Morrie's family of dealerships supports area communities though local chambers of commerce and sponsorship of many youth athletic and educational programs. Other charities include Perspectives, Children's Hospitals and Cinics,Caring and Sharing Hands, Toys for Tots and a number of other groups and organizations.
